II.Micro- nutrients- Minerals and Vitamins

Molecules of carbohydrates and fats enclose atoms of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. But a protein has nitrogen in supplement to carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.

Fruits
Vegetables
Cereal and pulses
Dairy
Poultry, fish and meat products

Nutrients affected diseases
Over nutrition- Consuming undue nutrients and less exercise consequences in hoard of fats. This causes obesity which is the paramount problem of many countries.
Deficit nutrition- Disease like kwashiorkor, malnutrition, metal retardation and marasmus arises due to deficiency of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. In appendage, deficiency in following nutrients products in precise diseases-
i.Calcium- Osteoporosis, rickets and tetany.
ii.Vitamin B1 ( thiamine)- beriberi
iii.Vitamin C- scurvy
iv.Iron- iron deficiency anaemia
v.Zinc- growth retardation
vi.Iodine- iodine deficiency
The requirement of adequate nutrients has ascended as our children seem to be short of concentration nowadays. You may note their poor presentation and obtuse take action in school activities.
